If you want your wig to last a long time, you absolutely have to wash it. Yes, just like your hair, human hair and synthetic wigs require all the love, care and pampering it can get.
The first step to washing human hair wigs is brushing and detangling. Ensure that you wig is free of tangles before you start washing.
Once you are done with that, fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water, add a mild detergent (for synthetic wigs) or mild shampoo (for human hair wigs) to water.
You can comb the shampoo through the hair and gently rinse after. You can add a little conditioner to the wig if you wish. Jung ensure it covers all parts of the wig, from the root to the ends.
Wash out the conditioner and dry with a towel. If you have a wig stand, let the wig air dry. This is the most ideal way to dry your wig. The cool breeze will be gentle on the hair fibers.
Direct sunlight will fade the hair so avoid this at all cost.
