Profile: Cameroon First Lady, Chantal Biya

The current first lady of Cameroon is Mrs Chantal Biya. Mrs. Biya became the first lady after her marriage to the president in 1994.

She grew up in Yaounde. She was raised by Georges Vigouroux, a French expatriate, and her mother, a beauty pageant winner Rosette Ndongo Mengolo.

She established the Fondation Chantal Biya in 1994 and she hosted the inaugural First Ladies Summit in 1996.

She is popularly known for her signature hairstyles, her signature hairstyles are collectively known as the Chantal Biya.
